Philadelphia Percussion Derringer, marked W.S. Evans, .41 cal., 3-1/2'' brown barrel with three gold bands at breech, lightly engraved hammer, lockplate and tang; brass-tipped hickory ramrod, and coarse checkered bag-type walnut grips with horn forend tip, silver-plated decorative triggerguard and butt cap. Condition is fine showing light toning to hammer, barrel and sidelock. Stock with general darkening, small loss forward of nipple bolster, and fissure emanating from top portion of lockplate screw left side. Action is good, bore shows even toning. Est.: $1,000-$1,500.
